Head of the State Service for Maritime, Inland Waterway Transport and Shipping of Ukraine

Yevhenii Ihnatenko was born in 1984 in the city of Mykolaiv, Mykolaiv Region.

Education:

He studied at the Mykolaiv Nautical Training School № 31.

Mr. Ihnatenko obtained the specialty of  "Navigator" at two educational institutions:

Kherson Marine Vocational College of Fisheries;

Petro Konashevych- Sahaidachniy State Waterway Transport Academy of Kyiv.

Career:

2004-2008:  Balt Atlanta (Lithuania). He worked his way up from a sailor to a second assistant captain on international vessels;

2008-2012: HP Wegener Bereederungs GmbH (Germany), chief mate;

2012-2013: Nibulon (Ukraine), tugboat captain;

2013-2014: Nibulon (Ukraine), Deputy Director for Shipping Safety;

2014-2017: Nibulon (Ukraine), Director.

Under the leadership of Yevhenii Ihnatenko, Nibulon’s fleet took a leading position in the field of river transportation in Ukraine. In three year’s time, there were built 12 vessels, including 5 tugs with a unique design and 7 cargo barges. Leading the Nibulon team, Yevhenii Ihnatenko conducted the realization of a large project aiming at restoration of Mykolaiv shipbuilding and shipping industry. The company set its own best score by increasing the volume of cargo transported on the Southern Buh river via dredging operations.

In 2017, Yevhenii Ihnatenko received the title of "Honorary Worker of the Shipping Register of Ukraine" for his achievements in fleet construction.

- since 2017: Grain-Transshipment LLC, Commercial Director.

Grain-Transshipment LLC was founded in 2017 and swiftly took place among the leading shipping companies of Ukraine. In 2018, the company opened the "Pearl of Dnipro" cargo complex. In 2021, it purchased the "Pearl of Kherson" fleet base to create a transportation hub in Kherson.

In 2018 and 2019, National Maritime Rating of Ukraine ranked Yevhenii Ihnatenko in the "Breakthrough of the Year in the Water Transportation Market" and "Fleet Renewal" nominations. The Donetsk Regional Military-Civilian Administration assigned Yevhenii Ihnatenko the award "For the development of Donbas" in 2019.

In November 2020, Yevhenii Ihnatenko was elected as a Member of the Mykolaiv Regional Council. He became the Deputy Head of the "Servant of the People" fraction and the Deputy Head of the permanent commission on industrial policy, entrepreneurship, transport infrastructure, water management complex, energy and energy efficiency, communication and digitalization issues.

In April 2022, he enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 59th Yakiv Handziuk Independent Motorized Infantry Brigade as a First Sergeant. He took part in military operations in the east and south of Ukraine, in particular in the liberation of Kherson.

The President of Ukraine awarded Yevhenii Ihnatenko with the Order of Merit, III degree, "For a significant personal contribution to state building, development of local self-government, civil courage and self-sacrifice for the protection of state sovereignty on the grounds of loyalty to the people of Ukraine" by the Decree dated 07.12.2022 No. 847/2022.

Since December 2022, Yevhenii Ihnatenko has been appointed the Head of the State Service for Maritime, Inland Waterway Transport and Shipping of Ukraine by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 23.12.2022 No. 1183-р.
