The validity of qualification documents can be checked here: https://vrf.marad.gov.ua/check-document (the link is also available in the section “Verification” on the Shipping Administration’s official website).
To confirm the validity, two options are available: “Quick Search” and “Extended Verification Form”. A separate form is to be filled out for each particular document.
“Quick Search” guide:
Go to https://vrf.marad.gov.ua/check-document. In the “Type of document” field, select the required type of document, enter its number and date of issue, and click “Submit a request”.
Next, a link for downloading the .pdf version of the verification results both in English and Ukrainian languages shall be generated.
“Extended Verification Form” guide:
Log in or create a new profile.
Next, in the Profile Page, click “Verification Request” and enter required data in the respective fields of the “Seafarer’s Qualification Confirmation” form, then click “Submit a request”.
Once the application is successfully submitted to the Shipping Administration, the message “Your request has been successfully generated” shall appear on the Profile Page and be sent to the applicant’s email address.
The verification results shall be available on the Profile Page and sent to the applicant’s email address.
In accordance with the current seafarers’ certification procedure, drawing up and verification of qualification documents is solely within the competence of the Shipping Administration. Convenient services provided by Ukraine’s Government are available for use.
