They discussed cooperation within the International Maritime Organisation, specifically the elections to the IMO Council in December 2025 and monitoring of the situation in the Black Sea due to russia's infringements of the safety of navigation. Parties also talked about the evacuation of blocked ships from the Ukrainian ports.
Mykola Kravchuk requested Mr Baylan's support in humanitarian demining. The Director General expressed interest in further discussing assistance in the removal of hazardous objects in the territorial waters of Ukraine.
The cooperation within the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and the implementation of the Ukraine Maritime Recovery Plan, developed jointly with Estonia, were further considered.
Acting Head Mykola Kravchuk thanked Türkiye for its support and mediation in crucial safety issues in the Black Sea region. Ukrainian and Turkish delegations agreed to further coordinate efforts regarding stable navigation, food security and digitalization in the maritime sector, considering the Turkish experience.
