International Maritime Organization (ІМО) has circulated a communication on verification of seafarers’ qualification documents to all Member States

Here are the main provisions of circular STCW.2/Circ.132:

1. Ukrainian certificates of competency, endorsements, certificates of proficiency and dispensations provided for by the 1978 STCW Convention and the 1995 STCW-F Convention are issued and verified exclusively by the State Service for Maritime, Inland Waterway Transport and Shipping of Ukraine (Shipping Administration).
2. Authentication of Ukrainian qualification documents and retrieval of verification results are carried out solely at https://vrf.marad.gov.ua/check-document?lang=en.
3. The document verification results are issued in PDF format and contain a QR code that redirects an interested person specifically to a link with the domain name vrf.marad.gov.ua.
