Education:

Serhii Maksymov has graduated from the Kryvyi Rih Technical University, programme subject area “Computer Science”; Kryvyi Rih Technical University, programme subject area “Software for Automated Systems”; and the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, programme subject area “Public Administration and Management”.

Career:

Serhii Maksymov led IT departments within national companies for many years. From 2020 to 2022, he was engaged in digital transformation and information security policy in the field of defence at the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, where he was given an award “For Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine” in recognition of dedicated and competent service. Before joining the Shipping Administration, he worked in the Department for Computerization and Information Technologies at the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property”.

On 03 March 2023, Serhii Maksymov was appointed the Deputy Head of the State Service for Maritime, Inland Waterway Transport and Shipping of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization.
